Nature and Hikes
The Aroha Island Ecological Centre is only 20 mins drive from the house where you might be lucky enough to hear the call of the Kiwi after a picnic and walk around the Island.
Rainbow Falls
The 27 metre high Rainbow Falls were first named “Waianiwaniwa” meaning waters of the Rainbow. You can either drive directly to the Falls or walk via the Kerikeri River Track from the Stone Store basin. (3.5km, approx 2 hr return.)
Kororipo Pa Historic Walk
800m, approx 30 mins return. Kororipo pa has served as a coastal fishing village, a fort for war parties and a trading post. Track starts opposite the Stone Store.
Puketi Forest Boardwalk
This is an opportunity to see majestic Kauri trees in their original environment. 15 minutes north-west of Kerikeri, suitbale for wheelchairs.
